Easy Three Bean Chili
Easy Three Bean Chili
2 pounds lean ground beef
1 small onion diced
16 oz tomato sauce
16 oz petite diced tomatoes
1/2 to 1 cup dry red wine
1 package of your favorite chili fixin’s such as Wick Fowler’s
2 cups water, judge amount based on thickness of chili desired
1 drained 16 oz can each – kidney, pinto, and black beans
Salt and pepper to taste
Brown the beef and add the onion halfway through, drain off excess drippings
Add beef to a pot and add tomato sauce, tomatoes, wine, chili fixin’s except for masa and add red pepper or red pepper flakes as needed to taste, and water—stir real good and cover pot with lid, bring to a slow boil then simmer for an hour, stir when you think of it
Salt and pepper as needed, add beans, add masa according to package directions if you want your chili thicker or add more water if it’s too thick—you be the judge. Simmer for another 30 minutes, stirring now and then.
Top bowls of chili with diced green onions, shredded sharp cheddar cheese, and/or a dollop of sour cream…hmm, maybe diced black olives…why not be creative!
This is so good and easy! Right?  Serves  6
